On this website I have made an effort to sketch the beauty of the music of the Cocteau Twins, a band from Scotland consisting of Robin Guthrie, Elizabeth Fraser and Simon Raymonde. In all the band were together from 1982-1996, during which period they delivered eight studio albums, many more EP's and singles and several other projects.

For those unfamiliar with the band's work this short history will introduce them to the main facts and figures of the Cocteau Twins' career.

From 1999 to 2004 roughly every two weeks a review of one of their songs was added. After the completion in 2004 this site contains reviews of every single track they created.

If you are new to the Cocteaus this site may well give you a good impression of their music, and may even encourage you to purchase a few of their albums. Visitors well accustomed to their music might enjoy reading all the reviews and see whether they agree or not. Experienced Cocteau fans will try their hand at the quizzes provided as well. And even for Cocteau experts the acoustic quizzes should provide a challenge.

In any case: I hope you enjoy the contents of this site as much as I enjoyed creating it!
